Author fan-girling
So, usually on this blog, I just post fandom things…I don’t really talk about my “real life,” but I wanted to share this tidbit.
I’m in my final semester of a MFA Creative Writing Program. I had my first (second) class of the semester tonight with a professor new to the school. I’d looked her up before and thought her book looked interesting. She presented at a reading the school hosted tonight as well, and I was impressed with her many impressive credentials. I was impressed by her in class as well - so good first impression. And she offered some great advice right off the bat.
I feel really lucky to be studying under her this semester, because not only is she a legit Simon and Schuster author, but she is also a writer for The Huffington Post. I’m so excited for this workshop!
